Terms of Service

The rules for using the Service.

Last updated: 20 August 2026

This service is in development and has no public users. These terms describe how the Service actually behaves today. Sections marked Outstanding are unresolved and are stated plainly rather than glossed.

“GamerDate” is a working title and is not final. Below, the Service means this platform whatever it ends up being called, and the Operator means whoever runs it.

1. Agreement

By creating an account you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not create an account. Your privacy is covered separately by the Privacy Policy, which forms part of this agreement.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old. You must not use the service if you have previously been banned, or if you are legally barred from using a service of this kind.

Outstanding: age is self-declared and not verified. A ban is applied to an account, so it does not currently prevent someone registering again.

3. Your account

One account per person. Keep your password to yourself; you are responsible for what happens under your account. Your profile must describe you — do not impersonate anyone, and do not upload photographs of other people as your own.

4. Conduct

Do not use this service to:

Blocking, muting and reporting are available to everyone at all times and are never restricted by payment.

5. Content you provide

Your profile, photographs and messages remain yours. By posting them you grant a limited licence to store and display them for the purpose of operating the service — showing your profile to other users, delivering your messages. That licence ends when you delete the content or your account, save for copies that must be retained temporarily for safety investigations.

Anything you put in a profile is visible to other signed-in users. Messages are visible to their recipient, and to moderators where a report is made.

6. Moderation

Reports are reviewed by moderators, who can suspend or ban an account. A suspension or ban may be applied without prior notice where the conduct warrants it. Moderators can read a reported conversation for the purpose of assessing that report.

7. Paid features

Outstanding: no payment system is currently in operation, and nothing can be purchased. This section will need terms covering price, renewal, cancellation and the statutory right of withdrawal before that changes.

Where paid features exist, they will only ever provide convenience — larger allowances, additional filters, seeing who has liked you. Payment will never confer a verification badge, a trust signal, or a higher limit on messaging or swiping, because those limits exist to prevent spam.

8. Verification

Outstanding: identity verification is not yet available. When it is, it will be optional. Verified accounts may become easier to find and may receive relaxed rate limits, but verification will never be required to use the service.

9. Availability

The service is provided as-is, with no guarantee of availability. It is under active development: features may change or be removed, and interruptions should be expected. Data loss is unlikely but possible; nothing here should be your only copy of anything.

10. Ending your account

You may delete your account at any time from the profile screen. Deletion is immediate and irreversible. It also removes the messages you sent, including the copies held by people you were talking to.

An account may be terminated for a breach of these terms.

11. Liability

The Operator does not conduct background checks and does not vet users. Take the usual precautions you would when meeting anyone from the internet: meet in public, tell someone where you are going. To the extent permitted by law, liability for interactions between users is excluded. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

12. Changes

These terms may change. Material changes will be notified in the app, and the date above will reflect the revision.
